Like its predecessor model, the FP Modem-56k offers an integrated CLIP decoder with a callback function – an effective tool for preventing unauthorized remote data access. Additionally, a new SMS text messaging service is available wherever supported by the respective PSTN. In configurations where the modem is used in conjunction with the FP Web Server, further options include E-mail transmission and dial-up for local or network access. And for the benefit of technicians, a ready-made function block library saves time and money by providing for easy integration of communications functions into FPWIN Pro.
At 56kbps, maximum line transmission speed is now faster than ever. An RS485 interface complements the RS232 port, and DIP switches can be used to select either of the two interfaces. The additional LEDs at the front of the device provide an enhanced overview of operation and data transmission status. And with its compact size and effortless mounting concept, the FP Modem-56k is extremely comfortable to handle.
